How does hepatitis affect the Asian-American community?

Half of the people infected with Hepatitis B in the United States are Asian-American (1). According to the Hepatitis B Foundation, more than 12 million Americans, or one out of 20 people, have been infected with hepatitis B. The chance of having the disease is thirteen times higher for the Vietnamese population than for the white population.
